Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager its kinda one whole thing actually. Google Tag Manager allows to combine multiple tags, codes in one single JavaScript tag. I even insert some of my custom html tags in them and they pretend to be google tags but still works like a charm!
here you can see my google analytics conversion goals setup for my every individual goals. So I use the same tag label, input data so google tag manager will trigger my analytics goals and my analytics goals will trigger AdWords goals perfectly!
I created a custom user defined variable for google tag manager so I wont need to type my google analytics code every time over and over again you know its also good to prevent typos lol
and these are my some triggers as you already see with proper urls, classes and path elements. They trigger the tags have been attached to them so I know for each conversion perfectly for any bit of a click.
that’s how a very proper tag installation suppose to look like, see those green happy face dudes, that’s it. Head, body, and a proper order of these tags they will carry my data with no issue and no warning so it will increase my even SEO and you will say how? I can tell you a proper tag setup wont effect your page speed load, and a fast website will get better SEO ranked, so you know 😉
That’s my custom html tag import via google tag manager for facebook pixel tracking, this will track my pageviews also will track any of my conversions automatically as you see a button click.
same google analytics will track my every single events as you see I clicked 3 of my events so they got triggered
